Today I broke my 5 day water (no calories, only water) fast, and day 4 was also a dry (no water) fast. In total, it was 134 hours. Fasting has been one of, if not the most powerful self-healing, self-loving, and self-knowing practice at least for the past several thousand years in different traditions around the world. This biologist got a Nobel prize in 2016 for discovering the functioning of autophagy, which is a process that is induced in our body’s cells when we fast for at least 12-16 hours. In short, fasting slows down the aging process and has a positive impact on cell renewal. Research and practice, and enjoy a healthy, happy and long life.
